Leonard Silver has long been dressing men for the races. We have Beverley Racecourse on our doorstep and regularly supply men’s suits and our ever-popular tweed suits for many race day events including Cheltenham and Ascot to name a few.
The dress code for Cheltenham and early Spring race day events is weather dependent but a tweed suit is smart. A tweed jacket, flannel trousers, smart shirt with a contrast waistcoat like moleskin are also acceptable as Corduroy Trousers or Waistcoat. A knitted silk tie is also a less formal touch and some fine English brogues are essential.
Summer Race Day events are again weather dependent and a fine wool or mohair suit are perfect for warmer weather. Again a Linen Jacket, smart shirt and chinos and some Italian loafers are also acceptable.
