A tie clip does quiet work. It holds the tie against the shirt front so it hangs straight through a long day, and it adds a small line of metal to an otherwise plain chest. This range covers slides and bars, lapel pins, collar bars, dress studs and braces, in silver-tone, gold-tone and rhodium plated finishes, some plain, some set with enamel or stone.

Width matters more than anything. A tie bar clip should cover roughly half to three-quarters of the tie, never overhang it, and sit between the third and fourth shirt button. Lapel pins go on the left, above the pocket. Mens braces come with button fastenings or clip ends, so check which your trousers will take before choosing.

Many pieces are £29.95, with others between £30 and £50, £50 and £100, and a smaller number above £100. Where a piece is supplied in its own box, that is noted on the product page. free UK delivery on orders of £200 or more, standard rates below that.

Questions we get asked

What size tie clip should I buy?

Choose one that covers about half to three-quarters of your tie width and never sits wider than the tie itself. Most standard ties suit a bar of around 45 to 55mm. Slimmer ties need a shorter bar, so measure your tie before ordering.

How do you wear a tie with a tie clip?

Fasten it between the third and fourth shirt button, clipping through both the front blade and the keeper so the tie stays against the placket. It should sit level, not angled. If you wear a waistcoat, the clip sits hidden beneath it.

Does it come in a box, and how long is delivery?

Where a piece is supplied boxed, it says so on the product page. UK delivery is free on orders of £200 or more, with standard rates otherwise. These accessories are sent from our supplier, so there are no change-of-mind returns; see our returns policy for full details.
