The Travelling Tailor Service Leonard Silver
Not everyone can get to Hull. That's why Leonard Silver offers a travelling tailor service we come to you. Whether you're in Leeds, Sheffield, York, Lincoln, or Doncaster, we can arrange a fitting at your home, your office, or a convenient local venue.
We have been making bespoke and made to measure suits since 1946. The travelling tailor service brings the same fitting process to your door full measurements, cloth selection, and a finished suit made to your specification.
How It Works
The process follows the same steps as an in-store appointment.
At the first visit, we take a full set of measurements: chest, waist, seat, sleeve length, back length, inside leg, and shoulder width. We discuss the occasion, your preferences for cloth weight and style, and any specific requirements whether that's a wedding suit, business wear, or something for the races.
From there, you choose from our cloth samples sourced from British and European mills including Dugdale Bros and a wide selection of Yorkshire wools. Construction is then arranged to your measurements and specifications.
A second fitting either at a location near you or at our Hull store allows us to make final adjustments before the suit is finished. Most suits are completed within 10–12 weeks from the first appointment.
