Details & fit
A small square tie tac with softly rounded corners, set with a black onyx face. The square and compasses sit at the centre in gold, clear enough to be read at close quarters but quiet from across a room. The surround is rhodium plated, giving a bright white finish that holds its colour against a dark tie.
A tie tac pins through the tie and holds it to the shirt placket, so the tie stays where you put it through the day. It suits a plain silk tie in navy, black or grey, where the black face has something solid to sit against. Worn a little above the midpoint of the chest, roughly level with the fourth shirt button.
