Details & fit
A borrowed idea from the side of a ship: an oval face of black onyx set inside a rhodium plated rim, with eight screw heads worked into the metal at even intervals. The detail is small enough to go unnoticed across a room, and clear enough to hold up at close quarters.
The onyx is flat and unpolished in appearance against the bright finish of the surround, so the two materials read separately rather than blurring together. The oval sits lengthways along the cuff, which suits a single cuff as readily as a double. A swivel bar fastening closes the back.
