Details & fit
A flat rectangular panel of onyx, set into a bright rhodium plated frame. The stone sits level with the surround, so the only relief is the thin polished border that catches the light along each edge. Black and silver, nothing more.
The proportions are landscape rather than square, which follows the line of a double cuff neatly and keeps the face reading as a clean block of colour rather than a detail. They suit a white shirt and a dark suit, and they hold their own with black tie. A fold-over back closes the fitting.
