Details & fit
A plain bar in polished gold plate, with nothing on it but the shine. The face is flat and unbroken, the ends gently rounded, and the whole thing sits low and narrow against the tie. Quiet work, and the sort of piece that does its job without asking for attention.
The slide fastens with a fold-over back that grips the tie and the shirt placket together, holding both in place through the day. Wear it between the third and fourth buttons of the shirt, roughly level with the elbows when the arms are at rest, and leave a little slack in the tie above it so the drape stays natural.
