Details & fit
A red poppy worked in embroidery on plain white cotton, stitched into one corner with a green stem and leaf beneath the bloom. The black centre gives the flower its shape and keeps the motif reading clearly against the white ground. Two handkerchiefs come in the box, both embroidered the same way.
White cotton handkerchiefs are the useful sort: folded into a trouser or jacket pocket, kept to hand rather than arranged for show.
