Details & fit
Three red petals in deep enamel, set in a bright silver-tone surround, with a dark centre. The colour is not flat: the enamel is worked with fine lines that catch the light, so the flower reads as a poppy rather than a plain disc.
A long stick pin runs behind the head and is finished with a smooth cylindrical guard that slides on to hold it in place. It passes through the lapel buttonhole or the cloth itself, and sits well on a cravat or a neckerchief when the knot needs steadying.
