Details & fit
Two white cotton handkerchiefs, each embroidered in one corner with a racehorse at full gallop, jockey up in blue and red silks. The stitching is worked in brown, tan and burgundy thread, and it sits low enough on the cloth to show when the handkerchief is folded into a breast pocket.
Plain white otherwise, with a woven border running around the edge. Cotton takes a press well and washes without fuss, so these are handkerchiefs to use rather than keep aside. Folded flat in the pocket, the horse shows at the corner; folded square, it stays hidden until needed.
